Case Study: Social Media Audience Building - Wailuku Federal Credit Union

Background: Wailuku Federal Credit Union (WFCU) is a Maui credit union whose motto is “people helping people.” With a goal of attracting more members on the island of Maui, WFCU wanted to increase its social media presence to show kama‘āina the benefits of banking locally. 

Strategy: Team Vibe created approachable, educational content to appeal to kama‘āina and build trust amongst WFCU’s social media followers. By providing a sense of place as well as trustworthy, educational content, WFCU’s social media became a place for Maui residents to learn about credit unions and financial institutions.  

Results: Over the time period of February 2022 - April 2023, WFCU’s Instagram and Facebook grew steadily.
