Case Study: Email Marketing - Top of Waikiki

Background: Top of Waikiki (TOW) was Hawaii’s only revolving restaurant, opened in 1965 and sadly forced to close in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This iconic restaurant served Hawaii Regional Steak & Seafood, along with creative craft cocktails, and boasted panoramic, ever-changing views of Waikiki and the Honolulu city lights.
TOW wanted to actively engage with their customers as a way to increase customer retention. Team Vibe built their personalized email campaign featuring blasts to their subscriber list 1-2 times per week. These emails featured current promotions and general branded content encouraging clicks to the Top of Waikiki website.
Results: In 2019, we were able to produce:
- An open rate of 33.00% compared to an industry average of 19.77%
- A click rate of 1.39% compared to an industry average of 1.34%
- Over 48.6k opens and 2k clicks
